Nareg Gourjian, Founder of Gourjian Law Group
Nareg Gourjian is one of Southern California’s preeminent criminal defense attorneys. Before launching his own practice in 2010, Mr. Gourjian practiced for seven years with the prominent law firm of Geragos & Geragos. At the Geragos firm, Mr. Gourjian served as co-counsel with managing partner Mark J. Geragos on numerous high profile cases including R&B singer Chris Brown, Scott Peterson, Kazuyoshi Miura and hip-hop/rap artist Nate Dogg.
Nareg Gourjian also served as the defense lawyer for Dr. Conrad R. Murray in connection with the death of the king of pop Michael Jackson, and for Joe Finley, an “America’s Got Talent” prospect whose wife was found dead at a Los Angeles hotel.
Recently, Mr. Gourjian represented rapper/actor PnB Rock, Love & Hip-Hop star Masika K., former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Milton Bradley. He also successfully defended WWE champion professional wrestler Sean “X-Pac” Waltman in connection with his recent drug arrest at the Los Angeles International Airport for driving under the influence.
Mr. Gourjian has been named a “Rising Star” by Southern California Super Lawyers and Los Angeles Magazine for fourteen years straight (2002-2016) and was also selected by the Armenian Bar Association as one of this year’s “20 Rising Stars Under 40”. In addition, Mr. Gourjian has appeared as a guest and legal commentator on “Greta Van Susteren’s On The Record, FOX News”; “CNN Headline News”; “Piers Morgan tonight, CNN”; “Good Morning America, ABC News”; and “Dr. Drew, HLN.”
As a law clerk, Mr. Gourjian served under the Hon. Mary Ann Murphy of the Superior Court of the State of California, and externed for the Hon. Dickran Tevrizian of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California and is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Armenian Bar Association.
Nareg Gourjian received his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated with honors in Sociology. Finally, he earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2002. While at Loyola Law, Mr. Gourjian served as an Editor on the Board of the Entertainment Law Review.
